Oman Oil Company S.A.O.C. (OOC) is a commercial company wholly owned by the Government of the Sultanate of Oman. The Company was incorporated in 1996 to pursue investment opportunities in the energy sector both inside and outside Oman. Through participation in energy and energy related projects, the Company plays an important role in the Sultanate's efforts to diversify the Omani economy and to promote Omani and foreign private sector investment.

Oman Oil Company S.A.O.C (OOC)'s investment in South Korean power generator, GS EPS Co. Ltd (GS EPS), has officially inaugurated the largest Biomass Power Plant in Asia with a capacity of 105MW and investment cost of about USD 273 million equivalent. GS EPS is a joint venture in Korea between OOC (30%) and GS Holdings (70%).

Six Omani students and graduates, nominated by Oman Oil Company (OOC), the Government’s investment arm in the energy related sectors, concluded the first “OXEA Internship Programme”, held in OXEA headquarters in Oberhausen, Germany from the 28th of July to the 30th of August 2015. OOC gave the opportunity to a group of Omani undergraduate students to take part in the programme to enhance their knowledge, skills and prepare them for the labour market. Participants were nominated based on a certain assessment criteria to join the Internship Programme at OXEA, a world leader in the manufacturing of OXO products, wholly owned by Oman Oil Company.

The State General Reserve Fund (SGRF), Oman’s sovereign wealth fund, and Oman Oil Company (OOC), the Government’s investment arm in the energy sector, have signed a cooperation agreement to build a strategic cooperative partnership.

Oman Oil Company SAOC (OOC) majority owned subsidiary Musandam Power Company SAOC (MPC) announced the execution of a long term Power Purchase Agreement with Oman Power and Water Procurement Company SAOC and a Natural Gas Sales Agreement with the Oman Ministry of Oil and Gas providing for the supply and sale of natural gas to MPC. Oman Oil Holdings Spain, a wholly owned subsidiary of Oman Oil Company (OOC) sold its 5% stake in Enagás – a Spanish energy company, in a secondary block trade. The joint-book runners were Citigroup and Deutsche Bank. The shares were marketed globally with majority of the investors from US and Europe and reached substantial oversubscription.

Muscat, October 12th 2013 Oman Oil Company (OOC) made the first investment of its kind in its portfolio by acquiring 100% of OXEA, the worlds largest supplier of Oxo chemical products. This investment will enable Oman Oil Company to become a vertically integrated global chemical leader.

Muscat, January: Oman Oil Company S.A.O.C. (OOC), in partnership with Takamul Investment Company (Takamul), has established a new company, Oman Tank Terminal Company LLC (OTTCO), to build, own and operate upto 200 million barrel oil terminal in RasMarkaz in Al Wusta Governorate. OTTCO will be 90% owned by OOC and 10% owned by Takamul.

Muscat, 1 Oct: Oman Oil Company and Vale have signed a Share Transfer Agreement for 30% of the registered share capital in Vale`s Pelletizing Plant in the Sohar Industrial Complex. The agreement was reached back in 2010, which set terms and conditions for the transfer to be completed this year.
